The Scottsdale Ranch Rules define an abandoned vehicle as 'any vehicle without current required license plates and tags; or that is inoperable, unused, stripped, scrapped, junked, discarded, dismantled, wrenched, on blocks or similar devices, or vehicles with deflated tires.' Please call SRCA Homeowner Liasion, Maggie Babetski, at (480) 860-1259, extension 12 with information, such as the address where the vehicle is located, and we will address this with the vehicle owner.
The City of Scottsdale considers any vehicle parked on a public street that does move for a 24-hour period or that meets the above criteria to be abandoned. Please call the Scottsdale Police non-emergency number, 480-312-5000, and they will investigate.

Please, for your own safety, consider all bees to be dangerous and do not attempt to remove them yourself. Call a professional.
If the bee hive is on SRCA common area, please call our administrative office at 480-860-2022 with the location of the hive and we will have it removed. If it is after business hours and considered an emegency, please call the SRCA 24-hour answering service at 1-888-271-0019.
If the hive is on sub-association common area, please contact your sub-association property manager.
If the hive is on private property, the owner is responsible for hive removal.

If ducklings are in your pool and you cannot get them out, do the following. Use a board and make a ramp so that they can walk out. The wider the ramp, the better. Gently direct the babies toward the ramp with your pool skimmer net.
No bird rescue organizations will come and get the ducks, but you can call any of the following for information:

If ducks or geese are congregating at or near your property, check to be sure that none of your neighbors are feeding them. The Scottsdale Ranch Rules state: 'Feeding waterfowl is not permitted on any easement area or any property maintained by SRCA or an ancillary association.
There are products approved by the EPA to repel ducks and geese. Some of them are 'ReJex-It', 'Goose Chase' and 'Bird Shield'. There are numerous distributors, so you can do a search for 'goose control' on any search engine such as Yahoo!. Article IV, Section 2(b) of the CC&Rs state: 'No animal, bird, fowl, poultry or livestock, other than a reasonable number of generally recognized house or yard pets, shall be maintained on any Lot or Parcel and then only if they are kept, bred or raised thereon solely as domestic pets and not for commercial purposes. No animal, bird, fowl, poultry, or livestock shall be allowed to make an unreasonable amount of noise or to become a nuisance... Upon the written request of any Member or Resident, the Board shall conclusively determine, in its sole and absolute discretion, whether, for the purposes of this Section, a particular animal, bird, fowl, poultry, or livestock is a generally recognized house or yard pet, whether such a pet is a nuisance, or whether the number of animals or birds on any such property is reasonable. Any decision rendered by the Board shall be enforceable in the same manner as other restrictions contained herein.'
The Scottsdale Ranch Rules state: 'Upon the written request of any member, the Board shall conclusively determine it its sole and absolute discretion whether such a pet is a nuisance. To assist the Board in making this determination, we require that the member submitting the request for determination to keep a log for two (2) weeks of every time the animal barks, and to have another neighbor keep track to verify this information. It would also be beneficial to have a tape of the barking and the time at which it occurs. A recording of every instance of barking is not required, but a tape would be helpful to determine the volume and consistency of the barking. The Association is not required to bring legal action on this matter, however, should the matter go to court, the member submitting the complaint would be required to testify.'

As a precaution, do not approach any wild animal, and do not leave pets or small children out unattended. You can call one of the companies below to have the animal relocated. Don't allow the animal to make itself comfortable around your house. If you see the animal, spray it with a garden hose, blow an air horn, bang pots/pans -- anything to make the animal feel uncomfortable around you and your home. You can call Joe Yarchin, Regional Urban Wildlife Specialist, Arizona Game & Fish at 480-981-9400 ext. 217 for additional information.
Following are the numbers of some licensed wildlife control operators (wildlife pest control companies). It is best to call a few and get quotes, information, etc.
